Are you the type of person who tries to fix everything themselves? Number one, we fully applaud your DIY spirit. Number two, there are definitely limits to what you should do yourself, especially when it comes to your vehicle. This is our list – and don’t take this as a put-down, because more power to you when it comes to doing your own thing, but we want you to be safe… and to drive a vehicle that works.

  1. Transmission – anything to do with your transmission is for the pros. Even changing the fluid. Seriously. This is an expensive fix if you mess it up, but if you let it be it’s way more manageable in terms of finances.

  2. Windshield – there are kits that say that they will “fix” your windshield. Unless you are actually a professional windshield repair person or replacer, take a windshield issue to the pros. Cracks can be invisible and dangerous. Let us help you. Please!

  3. Sound system – wiring DIY’s are super dangerous. You can either short out or fry your system, set a fire inside of your vehicle, or whatever you’ve just spent hours on just… won’t work. Let us take care of it so that you can jam away to your favorite tunes without worrying if they’ll literally set your vehicle on fire.

  4. Returning to what’s under the hood, let us take care of your fuel pump. It requires a really precise installation that means if you mess up even the tiniest amount you can be faced with your vehicle totaling itself from the inside out. NOT FUN.

  5. Finally, let us do the engine diagnostics. If your check engine light comes on, check your gas cap (the number one reason it comes on!) and if that doesn’t fix it, come to us. The little readers that you can get at auto parts stores will turn off the light, sure, but that doesn’t actually fix anything.
