Younger Community Commitment


At Younger Auto Group our roots in the community run deep. We consider it a privilege to assist the many wonderful nonprofit charities in the Tri-State area. Making a difference and improving the community in which you live should be everyone’s goal. Here at Younger, we take it seriously and support numerous charities. Below is a quick list of some of the charities we have supported. We encourage all residents to volunteer, help and contribute to any of these wonderful causes!

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Maryland

The Maryland Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation serves our area helping the many children and adults affected by CF. Through the chapters fundraising efforts over 90% of all funds raised go directly towards sponsored medical research looking for a cure to CF. Younger through the Toyota Dealer Match program was the leading sponsor for the Chapter’s largest fundraiser the Great Strides Event.

Discovery Station

Younger Auto Group participates and contributes to a very kid-friendly place, Discovery Station. Promoting informal learning about science, technology and local history through exhibits and programs that is both educational and entertaining. Discovery Station is governed by an all-volunteer board and staff. Children and adults visit from the entire Four State region. Discovery Station is a member of ASTC (Association Science and Technology Centers ) that includes 300 other museums in the United States and 50 other countries. Discovery Station creates exciting educational experiences that stimulate a desire for discovery, exploration and life-long learning. This year through the Toyota Dealer Match program Younger was able to be a leading donator to this exciting intergenerational museum.

Hospice of Washington County (Doey’s House)

Residents of Washington County in need of in-patient pain and symptom management, respite services, or a place to be cared for with compassion and dignity in their last days will no longer need to leave the county once doors open at Doey's House, a project of Hospice of Washington County. Younger Auto Group has contributed time and money to this very worthwhile capital campaign.

Girls Inc. of Washington County

Younger Toyota has sponsored the Wine Tasting event for Girls Inc. of Washington County for several years. Funds raised go directly into programs to stop the cycle of Generational poverty. Girls Inc. strives to stop this revolving cycle by making a real and lasting impact on girls by providing opportunities and experiences that focuses on academic enrichment and support, careers and life planning, health and sexuality,leadership development and community action, sports and adventure, self-reliance and life-skills and culture and heritage and the arts.

Habitat for Humanity of Washington County

Habitat for Humanity of Washington County is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a non-profit, ecumenical housing organization. They seek to eliminate sub-standard housing and make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Working with families and volunteers of all backgrounds in equal partnership, Habitat builds homes, builds communities, and builds hope. Younger Auto Group participates in its largest fundraiser each year and all proceeds go toward building homes for sale to low-income partner families.

Renfrew Institute

Younger Auto Group continues its support of Renfrew Institute by providing dollars to conduct the Four Squares Experience held at Renfrew each year. Renfrew Institute helps people of all ages to connect with the natural world and the rich cultural heritage of our region. Through hands-on activities, they learn concepts of historic preservations, farmstead culture, folklore, plant biology, natural history, and ecology and environmental awareness. For school-aged children, Renfrew Institute provides a full range of environmental and cultural education within a beautiful setting. Using the natural park areas and historic buildings on the property, professional instructors ensure authentic learning and long-standing memories for students. CASA of Eastern Panhandle

Younger Auto Group is pleased to be a donor with CASA of the Eastern Panhandle. CASA-EP recruits, screens, trains, supervises and retains community volunteers to serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates who speak up in court for the best interests of children removed from their homes as a result of child abuse and neglect in Berkeley,Jefferson and Morgan Counties of WV.

Breast Cancer Awareness – Cumberland Valley

Breast Cancer Awareness--Cumberland Valley, Inc. is an organization composed of breast cancer survivors and individuals concerned about this disease. They know the anxiety and questions a diagnosis of breast cancer can cause, and they are there to share experience and knowledge. BCA-CV has some of the most valuable information and emotional support which comes from those who have faced the same experience. Younger Auto Group is dedicated to supporting BCA-CV in it's efforts locally in Hagerstown and Washington County, Maryland.

American Cancer Society

Sponsoring Relay For Life of Washington County for Younger Auto Group is important. Each year the local overnight event raises money through donations to support cancer research, educational programs, patient services and advocacy for "ALL TYPES" of cancer. Younger is proud to be a part of "a Community that takes up the fight and together we are making a difference."

Washington County Arts Council

Younger Auto Group has been a partner with the Washington County Arts Council, Inc. and its annual "The Art of Cooking" event each year since its inception in 2010. WCAC provides significant support for many local art organizations i.e., Maryland Symphony Orchestra, The Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, Hagerstown Community Concerts, and area arts festivals. The arts Council was formed to aid and advise the cultural arts in Washington County, and to integrate the arts into the total life of the communities it serves.

Mason-Dixon Boy Scout Council

The Mason Dixon Council supports Boy Scouting in the entire area, promoting and developing a Value based organization. They provide programs for young peoplethat builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenshipand develops personal fitness. Your contributes annually to their Friends of Scoutingfund raiser, golf tournament and capital campaigns.

Boys & Girls Club of Washington County

Younger Auto Group is all about youth development and opportunities for children living in some of the most distressed local communities; therefore, over the years Younger has contributed significantly to the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County. The funding provided ensures that children are provided quality academic, character, and life-skill programs at seven (7) afterschool locations and five (5) summer camps.

Frederick Memorial Hospital Capital Campaign


The Frederick Memorial Hospital Business & Industry Committee founded the FMH Corporate Honor Roll to provide financial support for FMH's strategic capital goals. The Corporate Honor Roll roster includes a diverse group of more than 55 local businesses, organizations and foundations dedicated to helping FMH fulfill its commitment to serving the health care needs of our community.

Community Free Clinic

The Community Free Clinic is a primary healthcare provider seeking to remove obstacles which prevent people from maintaining their health and well-being. They are a resource that addresses the needs of the medically uninsured in Washington County, Maryland. 

Oak Hill House

Every child deserves a chance, a chance to grow and thrive, a chance to contribute to his community and to society. Though counseling, education, and job training Oak Hill House provides the support, guidance and direction that are sometimes missing in a young man’s life.

Heal of Washington County


Heal has introduced several programs which offers free to the community in an effort to inspire healthy eating and active lifestyles. Their mission is to provide free nutritional and lifestyle based resources which will help reduce the prevalence of obesity in Washington County.

Is an organization whose sole purpose is to raise support for community health improvement, education, future innovations and patient access to care by identifying and engaging new prospects, giving donors accurate and timely information, providing opportunities for meaningful engagement and appropriately recognizing support.

W House of Hagerstown

The mission of The W House is to provide intensive residential treatment services to alcohol and drug dependent women in the early stages of recovery. The W House provides and supports the delivery of the most affordable, efficient, and effective service by providing treatment, education, and relapse prevention, regardless of their ability to pay.Their goal is to return women back to society and back to their families as sober, responsible, law-abiding, productive citizens.

Barbara Ingram School for the Arts Foundation

The Barbara Ingram School for the Arts Foundation is dedicated to helping promote and sustain a high quality of Art and Academic education for talented young artists within the community. This foundation helps to advance the education the arts by providing funding and resources to the Barbara Ingram School for the Arts High School and arts education in general throughout the community.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Washington County

This program has been part of Washington County since 1969 with a mission to help children in the area thrive through a mentoring program that provides children ages 6-18 with a positive role model to serve as their “Big”. Through this program, the “littles” develop a lasting relationship that helps to shape them during their formative years.

Boy Scouts of America

As one of the largest and most notable values-based youth development organizations in the nation the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) has been providing the tools to help young people develop leadership skills for over a century. This program combines fun with education to help the participants build character, develop personal fitness, and learn the importance of participating in the community.

Cedar Ridge Children’s Home

This home sits on a rural campus close to Williamsport, Maryland where for more than 50 years the staff has worked to care for at-risk boys. The boys in the program are generally ages 12-17 and have been referred through social services and other juvenile agencies throughout the state. The home provides a holistic approach to help these boys overcome their negative circumstances with services such as specialized education services, full medical care, individual and group therapy, and psychiatric services.

Come ALL Who Are Thirsty Veterans Group

This organization has been designed to help support Veterans and their families within Washington County, MD surrounding areas such as Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. The organization connects them with other Veterans and agencies that will help to provide them with the tools to discover and fulfill the path that God has chosen for each of us.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes was first established in 1954 and its mission is to help encourage athletes and coaches to serve their local communities by encouraging them to use their tools and skills to help make a difference for Jesus Christ. The organization reaches out to coaches and athletes from all skill levels to help fulfill this mission starting with youth levels and moving on up to junior high, high school, college, and professional.

Fort Ritchie Community Center

The mission of the Fort Ritchie Community Center is to provide individuals and families from the Fort Ritchie and surrounding communities with an outlet for achieving a higher quality of life through a healthier lifestyle, leisure activities, and cultural development. The Center provides users with the means to foster community traditions and better develop their skills in areas such as arts, education, sports, and technology.

Hagerstown Community College

Hagerstown Community College (HCC) was Maryland’s first community college when it was originally established back in 1946. Over the years, HCC has grown in size to now include over 100 programs of study that will appeal to a wide variety of individuals. A few of these programs include career preparation, personal development, customized training programs, university transfers, and much more.

Humane Society of Washington County

Humane Society of Washington County has a mission to be the leading resource for animal related issues for all of Washington County. They work to promote programs that help to enrich adoptions, encourage responsible pet guardianship. reduce pet overpopulation and endorse fostering. Overall, the goal is to encourage better, more compassionate relationships between people and their animals.

Lipella Foundation Memorial

Marc Lipella graduated in 2004 with a degree in Geology, worked as a research assistant at the National Museum of Natural History and pursued his passion for music as the lead guitarist in his band. After Marc’s passing in 2011, his parents created the foundation to keep Marc’s spirit and passion for learning alive. Since its inception, seven scholarships have been awarded and more are on the horizon.

Locomotive FC

Locomotive FC was created to organize, strengthen and unify the local soccer leadership. The need for this club became clear in 2010 when those involved with the soccer organizations were underwhelmed by what and how their children were learning the sport. To rectify this, Locomotive FC was created and took a ‘child-centric’ approach to teaching and coaching soccer.

San Mar Children’s Home

An effort that dates back to 1883, the San Mar Children’s Home was created to give orphans a home other than the Country Alms House where homeless adults also stayed. After over 100 years of service the Child Placement Agency, a program of Treatment Foster Care begun. Later San Mar Children’s Home was licensed as an Adoption Agency and even a Teen Mother and Infant program has been licensed.

The Maryland Symphony Orchestra

As one of only four professional symphony orchestras in Maryland, the Maryland Symphony Orchestra entertains audience members from South Central Pennsylvania, West Virginia’s Eastern Panhandle, the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan areas. Thanks to the direction of Elizabeth Schulze, the MSO is considered to be a first-class orchestra.

The Maryland Theatre Association, Inc

Dating back to 1915, the Maryland Theatre has been a staple in the Hagerstown, MD community for over 100 years. The first sell-out audience experienced music by a live orchestra and a five-reel feature film, “The Commuters”, all for 35 cents. To this day, the newly refurbished building entertains the masses with musical theater.

US Fellowship - Oak Hill House & School

Focusing on the belief that every child deserves a chance to grow and thrive has allowed the Oak Hill House to provide adolescent males with a safe and supportive place to live. While helping to develop social skills, confidence and respect, the staff looks to foster a healthy outcome for the youths and their families with hopes to achieve successful reunification.

Washington Country Community Action Council

The WCCAC focuses on both individual and family needs, whether it be for food or energy assistance or crisis intervention, even helping some realize the dream of owning a home. The WCCAC uses a number of different tools to do their best for those in need and focuses on more than those needs that are immediate.

Washington County Community Meditation Center

One of only four Level Five mediation centers in Maryland, the WCCMC offers free conflict resolution services and training by providing high-quality mediation. Equipped with mediators that have been trained and continue to do so, they offer resolutions that are non-violent to help end conflicts.

Washington County Museum of Fine Arts

The Washington County Museum of Fine arts provides classes to all ages as well as tours and other programs promoting the exploration of the fine arts. The enduring commitment of the WCMFA has allowed those who may not have otherwise experienced studio art courses, historical lectures, concerts, and exhibitions to do so.

Waynesboro Community Concert Association

The goal of the Waynesboro Community Concert Association is to cultivate interest in talented musicians and their art while encouraging the performance of live music. To do so, the staff and volunteers bring live music to the masses while teaching the history behind it.
