Fatigued Driving –

This is one of the most ignored road hazards but it’s one of the most important and easiest to keep you, your passengers, and other drivers safe on the road. Signs of fatigue are sore eyes, headache, yawning, and difficulty concentrating. If you experience any of these, pull over, drink water, and refresh yourself.

Soft Edges –

If you’re not sure what soft edges are, they are the side of the road that is made up of gravel and dirt. These roads are common on country roads and we can not stress the importance of avoiding getting your wheels caught into gravel or dirt. If your wheels are pulled into the dirt or gravel it could cause an accident due to you losing control of your vehicle.

Flooded Roadways –

We’ve experienced a lot of rainfall this past August so it’s no secret that you’ve probably seen a little bit of flooding here and there. We want to remind you not to drive through a still body of water. You can never know for sure exactly how deep the water is underneath. So turn around, don’t get yourself into a dangerous situation.

Wildlife & Other Animals –

Morning, night, afternoon – there are always animals roaming around and without warning, they could be in the middle of the road. We want to remind you to be extra careful in heavily populated areas and especially at dusk as animals are starting to awake. If you see an animal appear, apply your brakes, sound your horn, and flash your lights. This is the best way to get them to move from the roadway.
