Summer is quickly coming to an end and while we know you’re most likely pretty bummed about that, we want to remind you that there is still time to take one last road trip with friends and family! While your travels might keep you close to home or they make take you far, we want to help provide you with the important items that will help you in the event of an emergency or just to help keep you occupied and happy along the way! Below, you’ll find our road trip survival kit broken up for the parents and for the children to make things a bit easier when it comes time to pack! So, take a look, and let’s get things rolling on the road to one last summer road trip adventure! And don’t forget to swing by for a quick tune-up or oil change before hitting the road. For The Parents: 

  • Car chargers for devices 
  • GPS or Map App on smartphone 
  • Wipes, paper towels, or towels (you choose!) 
  • Light, non-messy snacks, and water to stay hydrated 
  • Emergency Kit – Flashlight, batteries, jumper cables, tire inflator, umbrella, AAA roadside emergency contact information. 
  • Non-Emergency Kit – trash bags, tissues, cleaning wipes, hand sanitizer, and travel-size toiletries.

For The Children: 

  • Sing-along songs to play 
  • Books to read 
  • Favorite toy, blanket or pillow to stay comfortable 
  • Light, non-messy healthy snacks and water to stay hydrated 
  • Portable video games or DVD Player and movies 
  • List of games to play like “I Spy” or “License Plate Game” 

Tip For Everyone! Extra clothing – sneakers, warm sweater, rain jacket. Weather can be unpredictable, so it’s smart to plan accordingly and be sure you are ready for any kind of weather that may come your way!
